Chocolate is deeply loving because it holds a soul—wrapped in the essence of cacao, drawn from the depths of the earth.
Cacao comes from Mexico, Central America, parts of South America, Africa, and other lands—but always from the earth’s waistline, its womb. It is an elixir through which the earth loves us from its very core.
I have always believed the spirit delights in the taste and scent of cacao. It stirs, it leaps into the humid, earthen world, and then returns—all in a single sip. You can tell by the telltale smile that escapes when someone tastes chocolate made from truly good cacao.
