One of my favorite scents is the crisp aroma of snow-covered pines in Sedona, especially around Thanksgiving. I remember exactly how the air smelled when I took this photo. I had just inhaled that cool, fresh winter scent—part mint, part soil—and wanted to hold onto it.
Now, as I look at the picture, I can almost feel that winter breeze again, sharp and invigorating. The photo captures that fleeting moment just before I stepped into a restaurant for pizza. The air was damp, fresh, and all-encompassing, wrapping me in a scent that now, through memory, surrounds me once more with a sense of peace.
