Tlaquepaque’s heart beats in this open-air retreat El Parián, where time lingers in golden hues and the past whispers through every shadow. We sank into the equipales, those sturdy leather chairs that cradle countless conversations. Cool and welcoming, they felt like Jalisco’s embrace. Around us, the square hummed—sunlight through leaves, a distant guitar melody drifting in the warm air.
Once a haven for artisans, this place still breathes craftsmanship. Wrought-iron railings twist like vines, terracotta pots spill color, and ivy-draped trees stand as silent guardians. Beyond the shaded patios, a glowing bar beckoned—mezcal, laughter, and stories woven into the square. Beneath the lantern-lit awnings, Tlaquepaque wasn’t just a place—it was a living work of art.
